Job summary

Generate Capital is building a dedicated equipment sourcing and procurement function to support its power solutions delivery. As VP, Sourcing & Procurement, you will architect the equipment procurement program and lead direct-sourcing beyond project-by-project bids.

You will own strategy, build vendor relationships with OEMs and packagers, standardize processes, and enable fast, informed decisions across new and used equipment for data center and infrastructure projects. Travel required.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in power generation, storage, or infrastructure procurement.
• Proven ability to build and lead a procurement function.
• Experience negotiating directly with OEMs, packagers, and financial intermediaries.
• Experience sourcing capital equipment, including new and used markets.
• Technical grounding to assess equipment specs and lifecycle.
• Comfort with cross-functional, entrepreneurial environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a proactive procurement function for generation equipment.
• Develop standing generation optionality across projects and customers.
• Map manufacturers, packagers, and channels into an approved vendor list.
• Evaluate equipment options for technical fit, availability, and risk.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with OEMs and packagers.
• Support projects through delivery, warranty, and supplier performance.
• Formalize procurement processes, policies, and controls.
• Coordinate with Asset Operations on equipment qualification.
• Diligence equipment opportunities to drive timely decisions.
• Travel to manufacturing floors as needed.
