Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Palo Alto seeks an Experience Design Vice President to shape the UX across Infrastructure Platforms Foundational Services.

You will lead strategic design initiatives, mentor designers, and champion inclusive design to deliver accessible, user-centered solutions across complex enterprise products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design priorities with business goals, guide AI-enabled interaction models, and ensure operational safety and resilience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in user experience design or similar roles.
• Ability to create visual representations of user journeys (storyboards, wireframes, prototypes).
• Experience in inclusive design and accessibility guidelines.
• Proven ability to develop transformative product/experience strategies and north-star representations.
• Advanced technical literacy: client-side tech, APIs, microservices, and design impacts.
• Leadership in product/experience/service design across complex enterprises.
• Experience defining and executing experience strategy across multiple product/service areas.
• Deep experience designing for highly technical platforms and engineering workflows.
• Strong understanding of enterprise platforms, SRE/automation, accessibility, data-informed design.
• Experience establishing scalable standards and benchmarks for digital and service experiences.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects aligned with business objectives and user needs.
• Diagram service flows, design wireframes, and prototype interactions for key touchpoints.
• Advocate inclusive design and accessibility; mentor junior designers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate UX into product development processes.
• Analyze market trends and user feedback to inform design decisions across platforms.
• Lead experience design strategy for Infrastructure Platforms Foundational Services.
• Ensure end-to-end journeys across Storage, Network Services, Data Protection & Recovery, and Data Center Services.
• Partner with SRE, Production Services, Risk & Controls to create cohesive experiences.
• Develop service design artifacts, journey maps, blueprints, and reusable patterns.
• Use research and data to identify friction points and prioritise improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering/architecture to design trustworthy, AI-enabled interactions.
