Job summary

Beacon Global Strategies seeks a Vice President to drive growth in the Public Sector for Defense and National Security clients. The VP will lead engagements within our National Security Technology Practice, building and executing business development strategies for a portfolio of clients and managing client relations.

Based in Washington, DC with four of five days onsite, the role emphasizes strategy development, positioning, and understanding USG priorities and the defense acquisition

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the national security ecosystem in a business development or government capacity.
• Proven track record leading client engagements and managing teams.
• Well-versed in U.S. acquisition policy, sales best practices, regulations, and industry trends.
• Commercial mindset with ability to articulate business implications of public policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships and a portfolio of clients across a variety of technologies, products and services with support from Associates, other VPs, and MDs.
• Oversee formulation of strategies and briefing of client deliverables to enhance market position and insights on defense tech acquisitions.
• Provide thought leadership through publications and events related to National Security, Technology and Acquisition.
• Guide clients on USG national security priorities, policy and regulatory landscape, and acquisition processes to inform sales solutions.
• Help clients understand how government, industry, think tanks, and media interact to inform policy decisions.
• Tie acquisition and policy expertise to clients’ business needs to shape government affairs and GTM strategies.
• Maintain a network of key relationships for partnerships and outreach to USG entities.
• Proactively propose and generate new products/ideas for client needs.
