Job summary

Santander is seeking a Vice President, SCIB Portfolio Manager for the US Lending Solutions team. You will oversee portfolio management, credit monitoring, and covenant compliance across diverse lending portfolios, coordinating with Front Office, Credit, Agency, Operations and Transaction Management.

The role requires strong credit judgment, 7–10 years of relevant experience in CIB lending, and the ability to drive governance and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Strong knowledge of CIB lending, credit analysis, portfolio management and reporting.
• Experience with financial spreading, covenant and collateral monitoring.
• Experience across Infrastructure Finance, Structured Finance, Leveraged Finance, IG corporate lending or GTB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Credit Monitoring and Reviews: prepare and review quarterly/annual reviews, assess performance, risk trends and covenant status.
• Covenant, Collateral and Documentation Monitoring: track covenants, collateral, waivers, and deliverables; coordinate with relevant teams.
• Amendments, Waivers and Lifecycle Events: support amendments/extensions and ensure documentation reflects changes.
• Portfolio Reporting and Governance: produce KPIs, KRIs and governance reports; monitor portfolio trends and manage escalation.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Process Improvement: work with Front Office, Credit, Risk, Ops, and Transaction Management; mentor juniors and improve processes.
