Job description

CMK Resources is partnered with a long standing client that is looking for a VP of Franchise Development. This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity: equally comfortable setting US-level strategy and engaging directly in franchisee recruitment and development. The ideal candidate combines the vision of a business developer with the operational discipline of a results-driven leader — someone who can navigate a multi-brand, matrix organization with confidence, working across diverse stakeholders and teams while maintaining focus and delivering measurable results.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Execution and Pipeline Leadership
  • Own growth benchmarks. Define and execute the franchise development strategy across North American markets, including territory mapping, pipeline targets and market prioritization by brand and geography
  • Lead franchisee recruitment across the organizations brands, leveraging proactive sourcing, franchise expos, broker networks and digital lead generation channels
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective franchisees, tracked through a structured CRM process, with clear conversion metrics and reporting cadence
  • Coordinate with brand-level and regional teams to align development plans, share best practices and support growth initiatives across the three brands
  • Lead Generation & Network Optimization
  • Represent the organization at major US and international franchise exhibitions and industry associations (e.g. IFA and equivalent)
  • Report regularly to the US Country Manager and, as required, to Group leadership on pipeline status, new openings, conversion rates and market opportunities
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and franchise industry trends across key US markets and geographies
Legal, Regulatory, & Operational Hand-off
  • Work closely with Operations, Marketing and Legal teams to ensure a seamless franchisee onboarding experience from signing through opening
  • Proven and measurable track record of recruiting new franchisees and growing franchise networks, with demonstrable results in new openings, conversion rates and territory build-out
  • Safeguard FDD integrity. Strong understanding of the US franchising landscape, FDD/FTC requirements, franchise agreements and the full franchisee recruitment and onboarding cycle;
  • exposure to sectors such as business services, logistics, shipping or print/marketing solutions is an advantage
  • Experience managing or leading development teams, with the ability to motivate and develop people while remaining personally hands-on in key opportunities
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills — equally effective in strategic discussions with senior leadership and in one-on-one conversations with prospective entrepreneurs
  • Highly analytical and structured: able to manage recruitment pipelines through CRM tools, track conversion metrics and oversee territory planning across multiple brands simultaneously
  • Ability to operate effectively within a matrix, multi-brand organization, managing diverse stakeholder groups with clarity and confidence
Job Qualifications
  • 10+ years of senior franchise sales experience. 3+ years at the Director or VP level.
  • Proven track record of managing franchise sales teams and franchise development strategy. ---Ability to build, mentor, and hold accountable a high–performing internal team.
  • Expert-level mastery of FDD Compliance, state registration laws and international franchising a plus.
  • Position resides in-office located just outside of Denver, CO.
  • Must be able to travel regularly across the US and, as needed, internationally, valid passport required.
