Job summary

Branch Financial, LLC is seeking a Vice President, Finance to lead planning, measurement, and understanding of the company’s financial health. You will direct FP&A, product finance, and business insights, turning strategy into actionable financial plans and guiding major investments.

You will manage a team, collaborate with cross-functional leaders, and present results to the CFO and executive team. This remote-first role requires deep insurance finance knowledge and a strategic mindset.

Qualifications

12+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related finance roles, including 5+ years leading managers.
Proven track record owning planning and forecasting for a business in property & casualty insurance, insurtech, or other highly regulated environments.
Deep knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and unit economics.
Experience leading or working closely with a business intelligence or data team, and a clear understanding of how good data and reporting lead to better decisions.
Experience building, coaching, and growing teams of managers.
Advanced skills in Google Sheets, financial planning tools, and BI or reporting tools.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. MBA a plus.
Strong understanding of insurance financial metrics, including loss ratios, expense ratios, and combined ratios.
Experience supporting board-level financial reporting, investor relations, and capital and treasury management.

Responsibilities

Lead FP&A, product finance, and business insights teams; ensure work aligns with company goals.
Run annual plan and long-range financial model from start to finish, including process, inputs, and timeline with CFO approval.
Oversee forecasting, budget tracking, and variance analysis across all departments; explain drivers and attention areas.
Present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to executive teams; influence strategy and major investments.
Partner with Accounting, Actuarial, Product, Sales, Claims, and Data leaders to connect financial plans to operations.
Manage a team of 10; hiring, performance, coaching, and developing future leaders.
Prepare board materials, investor presentations, and shareholder reporting with the CFO.
Provide oversight for regulatory, statutory, and compliance financial reporting; support fundraising efforts.
