Job summary

Branch Financial, LLC seeks a Vice President of Finance to lead FP&A, product finance, and business insights, owning the company’s long-range financial model and annual plan. You will partner with the CFO and executive team to translate strategy into actionable budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses, guiding investment decisions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or related roles, including 5+ years leading managers.
• Proven track record owning planning and forecasting in regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and unit economics.
• Experience with BI or data teams and data-driven decision making.
• Experience coaching and growing teams of managers.
• Advanced skills in Google Sheets, financial planning tools, and BI/reporting tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA a plus.
• Strong understanding of insurance financial metrics (loss ratios, expense ratios, combined).
• Experience supporting board-level financial reporting and investor relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A, product finance, and business insights teams and align with company goals.
• Run annual planning and long-range financial modeling from start to finish.
• Oversee forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis across departments.
• Present financial results and recommendations to executive teams and CFO.
• Lead strategic finance work including scenarios, unit economics, growth analysis.
• Set reporting standards and data quality across the organization.
• Create company-wide planning and budgeting processes with department ownership.
• Spot trends and risks and propose early changes.
• Partner with Accounting, Actuarial, Product, Sales, Claims, and Data leaders.
• Manage a team of 10; hire, coach, and develop future leaders.
• Prepare board materials and investor/shareholder reporting; support fundraising.
