Job summary

Bain & Company, Inc. seeks a Vice President, Enterprise Data Architecture to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the firm’s data architecture.

You will own the target‑state architecture and roadmap, build a governed, scalable data platform (Databricks) and lead the Data Modeling Center of Excellence with governance, security, privacy, and legal partners. The role requires 10–15+ years of experience, senior leadership, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders across functions.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in enterprise data architecture and engineering leadership.
• Proven ability to define multi-year roadmaps for scalable data platforms.
• Deep data modeling expertise and cross-domain standards.
• Experience leading senior technical talent and succession planning.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Excellent communication with executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Set the multi-year architecture roadmap aligned with business strategy.
• Own target-state data architecture, standards and tech direction.
• Lead major architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, risk, and flexibility.
• Partner with governance, security, privacy, and legal to enforce controls.
• Coach and develop senior leaders, build a high-performing team.
• Collaborate with functions to align priorities and drive standards adoption.
