Job summary

Serco seeks an Executive Operations VP for Defense Programs in Washington, DC. You will provide strategic leadership for a DoW portfolio, guiding Navy Acquisition and related contracts, while ensuring financial performance and customer satisfaction.

You will lead a dispersed workforce, collaborate with government stakeholders, and drive growth initiatives in a dynamic defense environment. This role requires a DoW Secret clearance and deep leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Master's degree or Bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 12+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in DoW programs.
• Experience leading large, complex organizations and delivering operational excellence.
• Experience managing financial performance, revenue growth, and P&L accountability.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic growth and operational performance of a multi-program portfolio with $150M+ annual revenue and ~400 employees worldwide.
• Provide executive leadership to Business Directors managing Navy Acquisition, Modernization, and In-Service Maintenance programs and contracts.
• Establish and execute business strategies, objectives, and priorities that support growth and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accountability for portfolio financial performance, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, and cost management.
• Drive development of innovative, technology-enabled solutions addressing customer requirements across missions and contracts.
• Serve as executive liaison with senior government stakeholders, industry partners, and Serco leadership to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Spearhead business development, pipeline expansion, capture support, and organic growth across DoW market.
• Develop workforce, talent, and succession strategies to ensure organizational effectiveness and future growth.
• Lead organizational change and continuous improvement in response to evolving requirements.
• Ensure management of risks across operations, financials, contracts, and programs while upholding high performance standards.
• Partner with executive leadership to shape objectives, policies, and strategies aligned with Serco's vision.
