Job summary

Serco Inc. in Hartford, CT, seeks a visionary Leader to support the PAE Undersea and Submarine Programs portfolio. You will champion cradle-to-grave acquisition, manage technical innovation, contracting, and lifecycle sustainment for advanced undersea platforms.

The role requires an active DoW Secret clearance (TS/SCI upgrade preferred), U.S. citizenship, and 10+ years of defense leadership experience. You will influence stakeholders across government, industry and internal teams, with up to 25%

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Program Management, Operations Management, Acquisition, or related field.
• 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in defense programs.
• Experience managing large-scale government programs, contracts, or initiatives.
• Ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Experience assessing program performance, risks, and business challenges.
• Knowledge of acquisition strategies and innovative approaches (OTAs, MTA) a plus.
• Excellent communication with senior government and industry stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor on program execution, operational performance, risk mitigation, and strategic priorities.
• Support senior-level customer engagement and maintain relationships across the Undersea Warfare Enterprise.
• Conduct independent assessments of program execution, schedule performance, and industrial base readiness.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Evaluate program performance measures and organizational outcomes to support informed decision-making.
• Support development, implementation, and evaluation of operational processes and governance frameworks.
• Analyze complex operational and business challenges and recommend solutions.
• Support execution of complex government contracts and strategic initiatives.
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams and promote collaboration across organizations.
• Provide expertise on defense industrial base capabilities, supply chain considerations, and acquisition strategies.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices relevant to Navy programs.
