Job summary

WSP is seeking a Vice President, Civil Project Engineer/Manager (PS&E Delivery) to support our Northern California projects from our San Francisco, CA offices. The role integrates leadership of the Civil Engineering Transportation team with business development and program delivery across Caltrans and local agencies.

The VP will drive strategy, mentor staff, manage project teams, and oversee PS&E documents, engineering reports and project milestones.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
Engineer license required (California preferred).
Advanced proficiency with Caltrans Design Development process, Highway Design and Construction practices.
12+ years of relevant post-education experience in civil engineering and infrastructure design.
10+ years of total experience in Caltrans related projects.
Ability to lead and grow the civil engineering business.
Experience as a project manager or lead on projects.
Strong guidance and leadership to mid-level to senior team members.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of roadway projects and project teams for Caltrans and local agencies.
Lead transportation, rail and transit projects and project teams in Northern California.
Serve as Contract Manager, Project Manager, Sr Lead or similar.
Participate in contract negotiations.
Guide staff in project management responsibilities and QA/QC.
Ensure quality deliverables like PS&E documents and reports.
Occasional travel may be required.
