Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Vice President, Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead California transportation programs, including PS&E and engineering reports. You will manage multi-office teams, mentor staff, and drive business growth with local public agencies.

A PE license and 12+ years of civil engineering experience are required. Based in California offices, this role emphasizes project leadership, client engagement, and robust risk management to deliver successful outcomes for complex urban

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Engineer license required (California preferred).
• 12+ years of relevant post-education experience in civil engineering and infrastructure design.
• Ability to lead and grow the civil engineering business.
• Experience as a project manager, deputy project manager, construction management or task lead on projects.
• Ability to work independently and provide guidance to mid-level to senior staff with QA/QC.
• Strong understanding of the project delivery process in the A/E/C industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of roadway and transportation projects for local agencies in the Southern California District.
• Lead key projects as Contract Manager, Project Manager, Sr Lead or similar roles.
• Participate in contract negotiations and guide staff on project management responsibilities.
• Oversee QA/QC and risk management for project deliverables including PS&E, reports, and memos.
• Travel occasionally as required by project specifics.
