Job summary

Capstone LLC is seeking a Vice President of Accounting to own the entire accounting function. You will lead a team, design AI-assisted workflows, and re-engineer processes to accelerate the close and improve data quality.

This role is hands-on, with potential to grow into a Controller title as the business scales. You will manage US and UK close cycles, oversee audit relationships, revenue, AR/AP, payroll, and treasury, and own ERP and tooling optimization.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of a full close cycle.
• Multi-entity and/or multi-currency experience.
• Strong command of US GAAP and revenue recognition; familiarity with UK requirements.
• Demonstrated AI experience in accounting/finance workflows; built automations or re-engineered processes around AI.
• Ability to optimize finance stack systems, integrations, and workflow automations.
• Highly organized, self-directed in a lean, fast-moving environment; strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end month/period close across US and UK with accurate, timely reporting.
• Own external audit relationships and UK VAT, statutory surveys, 1099s, and taxes.
• Maintain general ledger integrity with well-documented workpapers.
• Oversee Revenue, AR, AP, Payroll, and treasury functions across entities.
• Lead automation initiatives and AI-assisted workflows to reduce manual touchpoints.
• Own ERP ownership and optimize integrations with Salesforce, Workday, Ramp, and the ERP.
• Develop management reporting and dashboards; evolve to real-time data quality improvements.
• Create SOPs and internal controls to scale the finance function.
