Job summary

Purchasing Power is seeking a Manager, Accounting to lead day-to-day close operations and grow our accounting team as we transition to a public company. Reporting to the Controller, this role owns the general ledger close, oversees Senior and Staff Accountants, drives SOX compliance, and champions AI-enabled process transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA certification required; Big 4/public accounting experience preferred.
• MBA or advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end monthly, quarterly, and annual close under US GAAP.
• Directly manage, mentor and develop accounting staff through onboarding and coaching.
• Review flux/variance analyses and contribute to Controller presentations.
• Support preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) and schedules.
• Ensure SOX 404 controls and ICFR ownership; work with IA as needed.
• Drive process improvements and AI-enabled automation in accounting.
• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Operations for accurate reporting.
