Job summary

Progressive Leasing, a FinTech leader, seeks a Manager of Accounting to oversee the general ledger close, mentor staff, and drive SOX compliance for a public company. You will guide AI-enabled process improvements and collaborate across FP&A, Tax, and Operations.

The role requires CPA, 7–10+ years in accounting, and strong ERP experience; hybrid work with on-site days and growth in a dynamic finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's or MBA a plus.
• 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3-5+ years in a publicly traded environment.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience.
• 3+ years of SOX 404 compliance experience, including ICFR design and external auditor management.
• Experience supporting SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) and accelerated filing deadlines.
• Large ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) with Workday preferred.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; close management platforms (BlackLine, FloQast) a plus.
• Experience with AI-powered accounting tools, automation, or analytics platforms preferred.
• High integrity with MNPI consistent with public company disclosure obligations and CPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close under US GAAP, including journal entry reviews and consolidation.
• Directly manage, mentor and develop accounting staff through onboarding, training, and goal setting.
• Reviews flux/variance analyses with insightful commentary for senior management and contributes to Controller slides.
• Supports preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) and supporting schedules.
• Ensure SOX 404 compliance and ICFR design with IA collaboration.
• Leads initiatives to improve close, consolidation, and reporting processes; enhances workflows.
• Drives adoption of AI-powered accounting tools and defines the technology roadmap.
• Translate business requirements into accounting policies and procedures; partner with cross-functional teams.
