Qualifications

• 2+ related experience required.
• Experience with volunteer programs, HR onboarding, or healthcare volunteers preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews incident reports regarding conflicts between volunteers, patients, and caregivers, investigates and reports on findings.
• Organizes and participates in volunteer recognition programs.
• Maintains accurate records and provides timely statistics and activity reports on volunteer participation.
• Communicates with Patient Care Managers and others to determine specific needs for volunteers and assigns volunteers to assist in providing patient care services based on assessed needs.
• Participates in staff meetings, department meetings, in-services, and other related activities.
• Recruits, interviews, selects, and retains volunteers to support the patient census.
• Trains and monitors volunteers, placing them with patients or departments based on their strengths and weaknesses.
• Monitors volunteers' status and workload to ensure their services are utilized and assigned whenever available.
• Informs volunteers of policies, procedures, and standards of volunteer service.
• Develops and oversees newsletters and volunteer resources.
• Confers with volunteers to resolve grievances and promote cooperation and interest.
• Other duties as assigned.
