The ideal candidate has an Associate degree with 2+ related experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset suitable for a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) and internet software.
• Knowledge of patient database systems and reporting.
• Knowledge of telephone protocol and professional communication.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Strong computer skills with database applications.

Responsibilities

• Reviews incident reports regarding conflicts between volunteers, patients, and caregivers and reports findings.
• Organizes and participates in volunteer recognition programs.
• Maintains records and provides timely statistical activity reports on volunteer participation.
• Communicates with Patient Care Managers to determine volunteer needs and assigns volunteers accordingly.
• Trains and monitors volunteers and places them with patients or departments.
• Recruits, interviews, selects, and retains volunteers to support patient census.
• Monitors volunteers' workload and status to ensure service utilization.
• Develops newsletters and volunteer resources; manages grievances and promotes cooperation.
• Participates in staff meetings and related activities.
