Job summary

Reserve Care (formerly Hospice of the Western Reserve) seeks an experienced volunteer coordination professional to oversee and support volunteers across patient and non-patient care settings. You will assign volunteers, provide ongoing training, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting of activities.

The role emphasizes recruitment, orientation, and collaboration with teams to integrate volunteers into care plans and community events.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college with major coursework in social work, public administration or related field.
• Experience in volunteer management, training or community relations is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, coordinate and supervise volunteers in patient care and non-patient care settings.
• Select, assign and schedule volunteers to meet patient and family needs; conduct training and support.
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer assignments and hours; document in care plans and EMR as required.
• Recruit, train and evaluate volunteers; coordinate orientation and in-service training.
• Identify community outreach opportunities and assist with events and recognition programs.
• Maintain records and provide timely statistical data and activity reports on volunteer participation.
