Job summary

VitalCaring Group is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead volunteer engagement within our hospice program. You will develop training, coordinate recruitment across sessions, and align volunteer services with patient and family needs while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes supervision, program development, and ongoing performance improvement in a patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• College degree required; advanced degree in human services preferred.
• Experience supervising volunteers in health care settings is desirable.
• Ability to organize and develop volunteer hospice personnel for patient and organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain volunteer training and orientation program.
• Recruits, educates, and selects volunteers from multiple recruitment sessions yearly.
• Establish a need for volunteer services with patient, family, and hospice team.
• Supervise and evaluate volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Maintain monthly statistics and current personnel files.
• Attend interdisciplinary group meetings and participate in program development activities.
