Job summary

Heart of Hospice is seeking a Volunteer Manager to lead, manage, and coordinate hospice volunteers in a compliance-driven program. You will recruit, train, educate, and assign volunteers to support patient care alongside clinicians and caregivers.

You will meet with patients and families to coordinate care-related volunteer activities, monitor volunteer performance, and ensure documentation meets federal and state standards. This role offers growth within a nationwide hospice network.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Suite and ability to learn multiple applications.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, training, ongoing education, and assignments for Hospice Volunteers
• Implement necessary actions to ensure program standards meet regulatory or certification bodies and company pillars
• Meet with patients, caregivers, families, and hospice team to coordinate patient care-related volunteer assignments
• Assign volunteers to appropriate activities, monitor reports from volunteers and bring urgent items to the attention of the appropriate supervisor
• Maintain accurate and timely volunteer activity care plan documentation in the electronic medical record system in compliance with federal and state standards and regulations
