Job summary

Reserve Care in Cleveland, OH is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to oversee volunteer programs across patient care and non-patient settings. Under supervision, you will recruit, train and manage volunteers, ensuring staffing to meet patient and family needs.

You will maintain records, coordinate outreach, and partner with teams to integrate volunteers into care plans, while upholding the agency's values of compassion and service.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in social work, public administration or a related field.
• Some experience in volunteer management, training or in community relations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relations with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, coordinates and supervises the activities of volunteers in both patient care and non-patient care settings.
• Selects, assigns and schedules volunteers to meet patients’ and families’ needs; conducts meetings and provides ongoing training.
• Maintains accurate documentation of volunteer assignments and records; updates patient plans of care as needed.
• Assists with recruitment, screening and training of volunteers; assesses volunteer performance and provides coaching.
• Identifies community outreach opportunities and participates in events; supports volunteer recognition programs.
• Maintains records and provides timely statistical data and activity reports on volunteer participation.
