Job summary

Hospice of Northwest Ohio is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day work of assigned volunteers and to coordinate services that meet patient, family, and volunteer interests. The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting coordinating patient-related activities, strong verbal and written communication, and excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating patient-related activities in a healthcare setting (preferred).
• Volunteer supervision experience (preferred).
• 2-year college education preferred.
• Familiar with Medicare Conditions of Participation as it relates to volunteer services.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of assigned volunteers and for coordinating volunteer services based upon patient/family needs and volunteer interests.
