Job summary

Regional West in Scottsbluff, NE seeks a Volunteer Program Supervisor to lead and sustain a dynamic volunteer program that enhances patient care and hospital operations. You will recruit, screen, place, train and engage volunteers across the organization, while aligning with department leaders to fulfill volunteer opportunities and organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit leadership, or healthcare administration.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with leaders, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, screening, placement, orientation, training and ongoing engagement of volunteers.
• Collaborate with department leaders to identify volunteer opportunities that support patient care and operational needs.
• Coordinate onboarding requirements, maintain volunteer records, schedules, credentials and compliance documentation.
• Develop and implement recognition programs that celebrate volunteer contributions and retention.
• Build relationships with community organizations, schools, civic groups and hospital leadership to promote volunteerism.
• Contribute to policies, procedures, committees and strategic planning supporting Regional West mission.
