Job summary

Your Health is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead a patient-centered volunteer and philanthropic program across the Charleston area, partnering with interdisciplinary care teams to enhance outcomes and patient experiences.

This full-time, on-site role requires daily travel; you will recruit, train, and retain volunteers, coordinate foundation resources, promote community partnerships, and represent Your Health at events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in program development, community engagement, healthcare, or nonprofit leadership.
• Experience with volunteer program management and/or fundraising preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and maintain a regional volunteer program aligned with Your Health’s care model.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain volunteers to support patient-centered initiatives.
• Develop structured volunteer roles that integrate into care teams and community-based services.
• Ensure volunteer activities align with organizational policies, compliance standards, and patient safety expectations.
• Coordinate deployment of volunteers to support patients with non-clinical needs.
• Promote understanding of Your Health’s proactive, patient-centered care model.
• Work closely with Care Managers, CHWs, nurses, providers, and leadership.
