Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Westerville, Ohio is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate must be at least 21, hold a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, maintain a clean driving record, pass background and drug tests, and embrace the LifeWise faith and community.

Responsibilities include transporting students, inspecting and refueling the bus, enforcing safety rules, and ensuring a calm, caring

Qualifications

• Must hold a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P).
• School bus endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the past five years.
• Background check required through LifeWise Academy.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required (pre-employment, random, post-incident).
• Age 21–80 years.
• Annual Physician's Statement for medical conditions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved by the director.
