Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a CDL bus driver responsible for safe transport of students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires punctuality, a clean driving record, and a mature Christian faith aligned with our Statement of Faith.

The driver will adhere to traffic laws, maintain bus cleanliness and safety, perform inspections, and assist students boarding and exiting. Candidates must hold a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P); school bus endorsement preferred.

Qualifications

• A mature Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise beliefs.
• CDL license valid for past three years; clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in five years.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required; School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Age 21-80; any driver above 75 must annually submit CDL/endorsement copies.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy; drug/alcohol testing required; yearly Physician's Statement if any medical condition exists.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting and monitor behavior.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training; volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed.
