Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a responsible CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a valid CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) and preferred school bus endorsement, plus a clean driving record and successful background/drug tests.

The driver will ensure safety, maintain bus readiness, follow traffic laws, and complete LifeWise Academy training. A caring, calm demeanor and punctuality are essential in this position.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) is required.
• School bus endorsement (S) preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing required.
• Age 21–80; annual CDL and endorsement verification for drivers over 75.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain safety.
• Keep the bus clean and mechanically safe; perform regular inspections.
• Refuel as needed and create a safe environment for students.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom activities if agreed.
