Job summary

The Standard is seeking a Voluntary Employee Benefits Consultant to drive premium growth, case counts, and broker recruitment in Columbus, OH and Indianapolis, IN. You’ll work with national, regional, and local partners to educate and motivate for growth within a defined territory.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (licensing required or to be obtained), at least 2 years in voluntary benefits, and travel 2–3 days per week. Residence in SW Ohio or Indianapolis is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; life & health license required or to be obtained on hire.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience selling voluntary benefits.
• Established broker relationships seen as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain consulting relationships with broker partners and enrollment firms for voluntary group and life insurance.
• Serve as subject matter expert on enrollment technology solutions and product offerings.
• Deliver training to producers, agencies and general agents; support their growth.
• Collaborate with Sales Support, Underwriting, Policyholder Services, Billing, Compliance and Compensation to reach goals.
• Analyze market trends and provide feedback to support corporate strategy and recruitment.
