Job summary

The Standard in California is seeking a Voluntary Employee Benefits Consultant to drive premium growth, expand case count, and recruit producers across Orange County to Los Angeles. You will work with national and local brokers, provide training, and align with internal teams.

A minimum of 2 years selling voluntary benefits is expected; life & health licensing is required or obtained on hire; travel 2–3 days per week across the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Life & health licensing required; if not licensed, must obtain upon hire.
• Minimum 2 years experience selling voluntary benefits.
• Established broker network within the territory.
• Must be able to travel 2–3 days per week across the territory.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with national, regional, and local Employee Benefit Broker Partners and Enrollment Firms for voluntary group and life insurance products.
• Serve as subject matter expert on enrollment technology solutions and product offerings.
• Deliver training to producers, agencies, and general agents; support growth in the territory.
• Collaborate with Sales Support, Underwriting, Policyholder Services, Billing, Compliance, and Compensation to meet production goals.
• Analyze market trends, advise producers, and support recruiting and marketing initiatives.
