The Standard is hiring! The Voluntary Employee Benefits Consultant partners with Sales, Underwriting, and Product teams as the internal subject matter expert to support RFP submissions, questionnaires, pricing discussions, and implementation planning for prospective and existing clients.

This role oversees a territory that includes Michigan, Northern Ohio and Pittsburgh Markets. Collaborate with internal teams to drive growth, deliver trainings, and maintain broker partnerships to expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required if experience is relevant.
• Life & health licensing required; obtain upon hire if not currently licensed.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience selling voluntary benefits.
• Strong relationships with Voluntary Practice Leads at national and regional brokerages in MI/OH/PA markets.
• Willingness to travel 3–5 times per month.

Responsibilities

• Support RFP submissions, questionnaires, pricing discussions, and implementation planning for clients.
• Oversee a territory including Michigan, Northern Ohio and Pittsburgh Markets.
• Collaborate with LAD Sales Reps, Underwriting, Policyholder Services and other teams to meet goals.
• Establish partnerships with national/regional broker partners, GAs, and enrollment firms.
• Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and trainings on voluntary benefits.
