Job summary

Performance Food Group, headquartered in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Network Voice Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise VoIP and unified communications. The role focuses on on‑prem, cloud, or hybrid deployments, ensuring high availability and security.

You will design, deploy, and support VoIP solutions, manage Cisco CUCM/Webex/Teams voice, configure gateways and SBCs, monitor QoS, and collaborate with multiple teams to keep voice services resilient and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of VoIP/networking experience.
• Strong knowledge of SIP, RTP, SRTP, codecs (G711/G729/Opus).
• Experience with Cisco CUCM, Unity, UCCX or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support VoIP and UC solutions (on-prem, cloud, or hybrid).
• Manage call control platforms (Cisco CUCM, Webex Calling, Teams Voice).
• Configure voice gateways, SBCs, SIP trunks, PSTN connectivity.
• Monitor voice quality metrics (latency, jitter, MOS).
• Troubleshoot voice and network issues across LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi.
• Implement QoS, VLANs, and voice traffic policies.
• Integrate voice systems with network infrastructure.
• Perform upgrades, patches, migrations with minimal downtime.
• Ensure high availability, redundancy, DR for voice services.
• Maintain docs, diagrams, SOPs.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams.
• Provide Tier 2/3 on-call escalation as needed.
