Position Summary
We are seeking a Network Voice Engineer to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise voice and unified communications systems. This role focuses on VoIP infrastructure, call control platforms, gateways, SBCs, and integration with the data network to ensure high availability, call quality, and security.

Position Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support VoIP and Unified Communications solutions (on-prem, cloud, or hybrid)
- Manage and maintain call control platforms (e.g., Cisco CUCM, Cisco Webex Calling, Microsoft Teams Voice)
- Configure and support voice gateways, SBCs, SIP trunks, and PSTN connectivity
- Monitor voice quality and performance (latency, jitter, packet loss, MOS)
- Troubleshoot complex voice and network issues across LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi
- Implement QoS, VLANs, and network policies to ensure voice traffic prioritization
- Integrate voice systems with network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery for voice services
- Maintain documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams
- Provide Tier 2/3 support and on-call escalation as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 - 5 years of experience
- Strong experience with VoIP and IP telephony
- Hands-on knowledge of SIP, RTP, SRTP, H.323 (preferred), codecs (G.711, G.729, Opus)
- Experience with Cisco Voice (CUCM, Unity, UCCX) or equivalent platforms
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
- Experience implementing QoS for voice traffic
- Familiarity with firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and voice security best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot using packet captures (Wireshark) and voice tools
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- On-call rotation may be required
- Fast-paced enterprise or service provider environment
Compensation
70,000-100,000 + 15% Bonus Opportunity
