Job summary

Hirebridge in New York is seeking a full-time VoIP and Telecom Coordinator to install, configure, and maintain the organization’s VoIP and telecom systems. You will perform moves, adds, changes, and routine desktop/endpoint support in a hands-on, non-supervisory role.

You will troubleshoot call quality, manage cabling and wall jacks, document configurations, and escalate complex issues as needed while adhering to security and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and maintaining VoIP systems and related telecom equipment.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve call quality and connectivity issues.
• Excellent documentation practices for network cabling, extensions, and equipment.
• Hands-on IT support for desktops and endpoint devices in a corporate environment.
• Ability to follow HIPAA and organizational security practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot VoIP phones and conference devices.
• Create and modify extensions, voicemail, call routing, and hunt groups.
• Perform moves, adds, and changes for phones and endpoints.
• Troubleshoot call quality, registration, voicemail, and connectivity issues.
• Inspect and repair wall jacks, patch cables, and related cabling.
• Trace and identify cabling, correct labeling and faulty runs.
• Terminate copper cabling at wall jacks and panels using standards.
• Test cabling and connections for continuity and proper operation.
• Maintain labeling and documentation of wall jacks and network ports.
• Escalate complex cabling or vendor-related issues to IT management.
• Provide routine endpoint support for desktops and laptops, including updates and hardware replacement.
• Respond to tickets and document steps, actions, and resolutions.
• Support VoIP upgrades, deployments, moves, and cabling activities as needed.
• Communicate with vendors and track service tickets without approving payments.
• Follow cybersecurity, privacy, HIPAA, and change-control requirements.
