Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking a hands-on VOIP Engineer to support day-to-day VOIP/telecom operations and cabling/network connectivity onsite in New York. You will troubleshoot VOIP phones and collaboration tools, and collaborate with network/help desk teams to resolve tickets end-to-end.

The role requires 1–3 years of VOIP/telecom, network, and cabling experience, with CCNA or related cert preferred. On-site work with 40 hours/week and a public trust clearance preference.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience with VOIP/telecom support (Call Manager experience required).
• 1–3 years experience with network and wireless equipment.
• 1–3 years experience with cabling (pulls/drops) and fiber connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience coordinating with ISPs and supporting demarc/fiber/POTS/fax connections.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and troubleshoot VOIP phones and telecom issues
• Administer licensing and users in VOIP Call Manager
• Support ISP handoffs/demarc and connectivity (fiber, POTS, fax lines)
• Perform network cable pulls, install network drops, and support physical layer connectivity
• Basic troubleshooting for network switches and fiber connections
• Support wireless access points (WAPs) and installations
• Troubleshoot meeting quality/bandwidth issues using tools like: Microsoft Teams Admin Center, Azure portals, Network/telemetry data
• Support conference rooms and collaboration hardware (Polycom, Cisco, ScreenBeam, or similar)
• Work closely with network and help desk teams to resolve trouble tickets end‑to‑end
• Perform other onsite support duties as needed
