Job summary

Advocates is a nonprofit organization focused on helping people facing developmental and mental health challenges. The Telecommunications Administrator will manage VOIP infrastructure, cloud hosted VOIP systems, Cisco Meraki devices, and related networking gear at Advocates.

The role requires 3+ years in VOIP and IPv4/IPv6 networking, with a High School Diploma or GED. Schedule is Monday–Friday 9am–5pm with some flexibility, and travel to network sites is possible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing VOIP technology and related internet protocols.
• 3+ years of experience with IPv4/IPv6 networking, routing, and firewall hardware/software.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure IP phones and settings in network switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Manage and support VOIP infrastructure including hardware and software.
• Ensure operational health of the telecommunications environment (security, availability, performance, interoperability).
• Collaborate with internal/external teams and VARs to support and implement telecom systems.
• Provide backup support to Network Administrator for on-premises servers and network equipment.
• Ensure respectful treatment of individuals in accordance with Advocates’ Human Rights policy.
