Job summary

Covenant Health is seeking a Telecom Engineer Staff to implement telecom engineering and analytical activities within the telecom function. You will work under supervision on WAN voice platform programming, SIP, VOiP, and voice system design, with involvement in PBX upgrades and CTI interfaces.

The role requires 6–8 years in telecom systems, VOiP, and network planning, plus advanced knowledge of Avaya PBX, SIP, QoS. Local travel is required, and driving license with insurance is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in telecommunications systems, VOiP, and network planning, design and implementation.
• Knowledge of Avaya PBX voice, QoS, and network administration required.

Responsibilities

• Implement moderate to complex telecom engineering and analytical activities.
• Program WAN voice platform and interface with data transport, SIP, VOiP, and network designs.
• Assist on PBX upgrades, voice WAN design, QoS, SIP and CTI interfaces.
• Coordinate with Network data and server groups and mentor telecom staff.
• Maintain up-to-date technical training and tools; local travel required.
