Qualifications

• Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at GS-11 level or equivalent, with duties related to complex communications systems.
• Investigating, evaluating and determining requirements for highly complex communications systems in support of worldwide missions.
• System administration, database management, and provisioning of enterprise telephone switching systems including DIPS and VoIP.

Responsabilités

• Serves as Telecommunications Specialist managing worldwide voice infrastructure, including soft phones and client applications.
• Oversees LANs/WANs and related hardware and software for voice services.
• Supports voice switching systems (digital, analog, VoIP, DIPS) and E911 routing operations.
• Manages enterprise voice databases and DIPS infrastructure; approves configuration changes.
• Analyzes system failures to identify whether issues are network, software, or hardware related.
• Initiates corrective actions to restore services and routes inter-trunk WAN circuits.
• Represents the NTS Voices Services Branch Chief in inter-organizational meetings; provides technical guidance.
