Job summary

Leidos is seeking a highly technical Senior Voice Engineer to join the UC&C Solution Engineering team. The role focuses on deep technical execution for enterprise voice and SIP signaling, reporting to the Voice Team Lead.

The engineer will own Tier 3/4 escalations, verify STIG compliance, and collaborate with LAN/WAN, Cybersecurity, and vendor teams across DoD contracts. Strong SIP, SBC, and VoIP expertise are required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 12+ years, or Master's and 10+ years in VoIP, UC, networking.
Clearance: Active Secret clearance required to be considered.
DoD 8140/8570 compliance: ability to obtain IAT Level II within contract period.
SIP expertise: expert-level analysis of SIP dialogs and SDP negotiations.
STIG compliance: experience performing DISA STIG checks and remediating findings.
Layer 2/3 networking: solid knowledge of switching, routing, NAT, QoS to support voice issues.

Responsibilities

SIP Dialog Analysis: escalate and analyze complex voice incidents across multi-hop paths.
Advanced Call Flows: troubleshoot attended/blind transfers, call forking, conference features, and cloud routing.
Media and SDP Negotiation: diagnose offer/answer, codecs, SRTP, and DTMF issues.
Header and Normalization Analysis: manipulate SIP headers and define SBC rules for interoperability.
Diagnostic Tooling: use Wireshark/TShark, SBC traces, and CDRs to reconstruct call flows.
Root-Cause Analysis: deliver written RCA with permanent corrective actions and lessons learned.
