Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery at Short Pump is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support daily patient care in a fast-paced dental surgery setting. You’ll help seat patients, prepare treatment rooms, and maintain instruments and logs in accordance with practice standards.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Experience in medical or dental settings is preferred, with potential for growth and training opportunities within the practice.

Formación

• X-ray certification preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated understanding of sterilization principles.
• Understanding of HIPAA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Seat and recover patients.
• Clean instruments, laboratories, and treatment rooms.
• Stock rooms appropriately.
• Follow all clinical related policies and procedures according to practice standards.
• Complete clinical logs and follow cleaning schedules.
• Complete pharmacy logs according to practice standards.
• Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and practice clinical guidelines.
• Complete day-to-day functions in a proficient manner.
• Other duties as assigned by Office Manager.

What You’ll Do:

• Supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Practice.
• Clean instruments, laboratories, and treatment rooms.
• Stock rooms appropriately.
• Seat and recover patients.
• Follow all clinical related policies and procedures according to practice standards.
• Complete clinical logs and follow cleaning schedules.
• Complete pharmacy logs according to practice standards.
• Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and practice clinical guidelines.
• Complete day-to-day functions in a proficient manner consistent with practice policies, procedures, and mission statement.
• Other duties as assigned by Office Manager.

What You’ll Need:

• X-Ray Certification preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated understanding of sterilization principles, required.
• Understanding of HIPAA, required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

What It Takes:

• Experience with surgery or oral surgery in a medical or dental practice, preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to assist with sedated patients.
• Prolonged periods of standing, stretching, lifting, and bending.
