Job summary

Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to join our fast-paced team. This full-time position supports patient flow, prepares treatment rooms, and helps ensure smooth daily operations while adhering to practice policies.

The role offers hourly pay between $18.00 and $20.00, with benefits and opportunities to work with a professional oral surgery team dedicated to patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• X-Ray certification preferred but not required.
• Understanding of sterilization principles.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience with surgery or oral surgery in a medical or dental practice preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to assist with sedated patients.
• Prolonged standing, stretching, lifting, and bending.

Responsibilities

• Supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Practice.
• Clean instruments, laboratories, and treatment rooms.
• Stock rooms appropriately.
• Seat and recover patients.
• Follow all clinical related policies and procedures according to practice standards.
• Complete clinical logs and follow cleaning schedules.
• Complete pharmacy logs according to practice standards.
• Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and practice clinical guidelines.
• Complete day-to-day functions in a proficient manner consistent with practice policies, procedures, and mission statement.
• Other duties as assigned by Office Manager.
