Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking an Assistant Director of Vocational Nursing (Evenings/Weekends) to lead the VN program’s operations, faculty delivery, and partnerships. The role focuses on ensuring evening and weekend cohorts meet the same high standards as daytime offerings, in close collaboration with the Program Director.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in California.
• Bachelor’s degree from BVNPT-approved school.
• Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration preferred.
• Minimum of three years as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• At least one year of teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved nursing program within the last five years; or three years in nursing administration or education within the last five years.
• Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an approved school.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the VN program, with emphasis on evening and weekend cohorts.
• Assist in managing faculty schedules, course planning, and instructional resource allocation.
• Ensure timely completion of grading, evaluations, and required reporting.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate instructional faculty; provide coaching and feedback.
• Promote active learning strategies and ATI resources usage.
• Monitor student performance and implement interventions to support retention and completion.
• Coordinate clinical placements and maintain relationships with clinical partners.
• Ensure compliance with BVNPT regulations and accreditation standards.
