Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking an On-Site Customer Service Supervisor for the Division of Vital Records. You will oversee on-site vital records requests, verify information, collect fees, issue documents, and initiate amendments.

This role requires six years of clerical experience with two years of cashiering or accounting, plus three years of confidential records and two years of supervisory experience. Hybrid work may apply after 12 months.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of clerical experience including two (2) years of cashiering, banking or accounting.
• Three (3) years’ experience with confidential records and two (2) years supervisory experience.
• Ability to type at a corrected rate of 45 wpm; on-site test may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance and supervise a regional Vital Records office; approve time, leave, functions, and training.
• Assist and advise staff on requests, amendments, and document acceptability; ensure accuracy before sending to Columbia.
• Gather data for performance goals; attend monthly coordination meetings and assist customers with applications for certified copies.
