Job summary

United Way of the Bluegrass Inc. in Lexington, KY is seeking a VITA Client Services & Outreach Coordinator to manage the full client experience from initial contact to scheduling, intake, and follow-up. You will lead outreach efforts that expand the program’s reach across Central Kentucky.

The role supports site operations, volunteer coordination, data collection, and IRS reporting compliance, while building strong community partnerships and ensuring high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience in customer service, appointment scheduling, outreach, or related areas.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations.
• Ability to travel locally between UWBG offices, VITA sites, and outreach events.
• Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays during tax season.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for clients seeking VITA services via phone, email, text, or in-person.
• Manage appointment scheduling across VITA sites.
• Verify documentation and program eligibility before appointments.
• Maintain accurate client records for IRS reporting.
• Coordinate with site coordinators and volunteers to support operations.
