United Way of the Plains is seeking a VITA Program Manager to guide multiple free tax filing services for eligible individuals. This full-time role partners with IRS, KDOR, and SPEC to ensure high-quality service delivery across sites and virtual channels.

The ideal candidate will excel in communication, relationship building, and program leadership, with a track record of coordinating volunteers, reporting outcomes, and managing grants.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated strong relationship and team-building skills with ability to lead and motivate others.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities and flexible scheduling.
• Must be available to work flexible hours during tax season, including evenings and Saturdays.
• Must complete VITA training and certification; training provided.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience in social services, service program planning and delivery, tax services.
• Must have a good driving record, valid driver’s license, and transportation.

Aufgaben

• Plan, coordinate, and execute service delivery for in-person VITA tax preparation, virtual tax preparation, and online self-filing services; maintain and grow sites.
• Execute in-person outreach to engage partners and raise awareness of Financial Security goals.
• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, retention, and program promotion with internal teams.
• Develop, implement, and report essential VITA program components.
• Develop and supervise volunteer training and provide needed support.
• Oversee site operations, quality assurance, and maintain partnerships.
• Provide grant management and reporting, including outcomes and budget tracking.
• Prepare and submit forms for IRS SPEC, VITA Grant, and partners.
• Interview and hire seasonal site coordinators; plan outreach events.
