Job summary

United Way of the Bluegrass is seeking a VITA Client Services & Outreach Coordinator in Lexington, KY to manage the full client experience for our volunteer tax assistance program. You will handle intake, schedule appointments, coordinate with sites and volunteers, and ensure data quality for IRS reporting.

You will lead community outreach to expand access to free tax preparation, build relationships with partners, and support program compliance, training, and daily site operations during tax

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education and experience.
• At least one year in customer service, client services, appointment scheduling, or outreach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for VITA services via phone, email, text, and in person.
• Manage appointment scheduling across VITA sites and balance capacity with demand.
• Prepare client intake packets, materials, and site supplies.
• Coordinate with site coordinators and volunteers for smooth operations.
• Plan outreach events and community partnerships to raise awareness.
