Job summary

The Paper Store, Inc. is hiring a Department Manager to lead a high-performing team and deliver World Class Service. You will manage payroll within budget, train staff, and uphold store standards while driving sales and customer loyalty.

You will mentor staff on product knowledge, merchandising, and POS usage, while coordinating with leadership to execute store directives and promotions. This role requires flexibility for a busy retail schedule and travel for openings/remodels.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in specialty retail is preferred.
• College degree preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to multitask while being attentive to customers.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as TPS Champion by modeling GUEST service and delivering World Class Service.
• Greet and welcome every customer warmly and with enthusiasm.
• Understand customer needs by asking open-ended questions and explain product features.
• Suggest additional items to build onto sales using effective techniques.
• Lead and coach associates on merchandising and store operations.
