Job summary

Stanbridge University seeks an experienced Program Director to lead the Vocational Nursing Program. You will serve as the senior academic and operational leader, directing program performance, faculty effectiveness, and student outcomes, while ensuring compliance with BVNPT and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in California
• Bachelor’s degree from BVNPT-approved school required; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of four years of RN experience
• At least one year in teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved VN or RN program within the last five years (or a combination)
• Minimum of three years in nursing administration or nursing education within the last five years
• Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an approved school
• Demonstrated leadership with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Commitment to student success, faculty development, and program improvement

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the VN program
• Ensure BVNPT and accrediting agency regulatory adherence
• Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate program faculty
• Lead curriculum design, updates, and assessment aligned with licensing requirements
• Monitor student performance metrics and implement data-driven interventions
• Ensure quality clinical placements with clinical partners and coordination team
• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and allocation of instructional resources
• Prepare reports for BVNPT and accrediting bodies; lead site visit readiness

Education

Bachelor’s degree from BVNPT-approved school

Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration
