Job summary

Stanbridge University seeks an experienced Program Director to lead the Vocational Nursing (VN) Program, ensuring academic excellence and regulatory compliance. You will oversee curriculum design, faculty development, student outcomes, and partnerships with clinical sites, shaping the next generation of licensed vocational nurses.

This role requires CA RN licensure, BVNPT familiarity, and strong leadership; a master’s degree is preferred, with a track record in nursing education and program

Qualifications

• Current, active California RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree from BVNPT-approved school; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of four years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
• At least one year in teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved VN or RN program; or
• Three years in nursing administration or nursing education within the last five years.
• Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Commitment to student success, faculty development, and continuous program improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the VN program.
• Ensure BVNPT regulations and accreditation standards are met.
• Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate program faculty; align with curriculum standards.
• Lead curriculum design, updates, and assessment for relevance and rigor.
• Monitor student performance metrics and implement data-driven interventions.
• Ensure quality clinical placements with clinical partners and coordination team.
• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and instructional resources.
• Prepare reports for BVNPT and accrediting bodies; lead site visit readiness.
