Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking a Vocational Nursing Clinical Coordinator to develop and manage clinical partnerships, oversee clinical faculty performance, and ensure high-quality student clinical experiences in line with BVNPT standards.

This role balances external partnership development, faculty oversight, and instructional alignment, with teaching responsibilities to maintain program integration and operational consistency.

Qualifications

• Current and active California license as RN or LVN.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of clinical nursing experience within the past five years.
• Experience in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, or comparable patient care settings.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Previous teaching or clinical instruction experience preferred.
• Experience with clinical site coordination, faculty oversight, or academic program support strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Up-to-date immunization records required.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clinical partners.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of clinical sites to support program growth.
• Lead outreach, negotiation, onboarding, and approval of new clinical sites.
• Complete and maintain clinical affiliation agreements and BVNPT applications.
• Ensure all clinical sites meet regulatory and institutional requirements.
• Provide strategic recommendations to expand clinical partnerships.
• Orient, mentor, and support new clinical faculty and monitor performance.
• Conduct faculty evaluations and observations.
• Provide coaching and performance management for instructors.
• Coordinate quarterly clinical faculty training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Oversee student clinical placements and ensure alignment with course objectives.
• Monitor clinical hour completion and competency progression.
• Identify at-risk students and coordinate remediation with faculty.
• Maintain audit-ready health and compliance documentation.
• Teach one clinical assignment per term and provide coverage.
• Conduct routine clinical site visits and lab check-ins.
• Ensure BVNPT compliance and accreditation standards.
• Conduct course and documentation audits and timely grade submission.
• Maintain accurate records for sites, faculty, and students.
• Provide regular reporting to the Assistant Director.
• Participate in committees and special projects.
• Participate in rotating weekend on-call schedule.
