Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking an Assistant Director, Vocational Nursing (Evenings/Weekends) to lead the VN program, ensuring high standards across evening/weekend cohorts. You will work closely with the Program Director on academic quality, faculty performance, and program outcomes.

This full-time, on-site role requires evening/weekend availability and emphasizes operations, leadership, and student success within BVNPT compliance and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• RN license in California (active, unencumbered)
• Bachelor's degree from BVNPT-approved school required
• Master's degree in nursing, education, or administration preferred
• Minimum 3 years RN experience; at least 1 year teaching/clinical supervision in a state-approved nursing program (VN or RN) within last 5 years; or 3 years in nursing administration/education in last 5 years

Responsibilities

• Oversee VN program operations, especially evenings/weekends
• Manage faculty schedules, course planning, and instructional resources
• Ensure timely grading, evaluations, and reporting
• Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate instructional faculty
• Provide coaching and performance feedback for instructional excellence
• Promote active learning and ATI resource use
• Monitor student performance and implement retention strategies
• Ensure consistency in instructional quality across cohorts
• Coordinate clinical placements and maintain site relationships
• Manage program data collection, reporting and continuous improvement
